JOHN MORLEY’S HISTORY TIMELINE

1952

1968

01 Jan

My father Tom Morley and I founded Burbang Investments Pty. Ltd. in 1968.
To develop property, build houses, and design, build, and manage successful businesses.
When dad passed away in 1990, I took over as Managing Director and changed the name to Morley International Pty. Ltd.

1970

01 Jan

Became a registered builder in Victoria (initially with dad then just me from 1982).
Built 100+ houses during 25 years as a registered builder.
Later, worked as a project manager for AV Jennings building 18 houses at once.

1974

01 Jan

1974 Dad & I (50/50 shareholding) bought a 385acre farm and bushland, on the coast in NE Victoria.
We then designed, built (took 3 years) and operated (for 6 years) our Tourist Resort with a shop, take-away food, tennis courts, swimming pools, cabins and caravan sites, and environmental activities.
1977 Opened.
1982 Won Tourism Award (see separate)
1983 Sold.

Won a Tourism Award for outstanding contribution to the area (Cape Conran, Marlo, Orbost, Victoria).

Registered Builder.
I started a Publishing Business selling mail-order products on the internet.
- I was interviewed & featured on ABC TV.
I Joint-Ventured with a barter franchise to manage it.
I bought a Pizza and Pasta Restaurant and doubled sales in 3 months.
I bought & renovated a freehold Milkbar/Takeaway property & business.
I Joint-Ventured with a startup computer consumables business:
- I franchised it.
- I Sold 5 franchises and opened 3 company-owned stores in 2 years.
- I Sold my 50% to a national software company.
I started my consulting/coaching company in 1993.

20/03/1982 Married my soulmate, Katy Freer, on the beach at Cape Conran Victoria.
Sold my Tourist Resort in 1983 and went on a world trip for 5 months.
Came back and bought/built more houses and businesses.

1987

17 Oct

Completed a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis with the Australian Academy of Hypnotic Science.
Certified by a board of examiners.

1991

08 Sep

1987 Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis by Jim Goulding, Australian Academy of Hypnotic Science.
1991 Certified Professional Trainer by Marvin Oka (one of the top 10 NLP master trainers in the world), in all 3 levels; training design, presentation skills & facilitation of unconscious learning using accelerated and generative learning.
1993 Marketing Protégé with Jay Abraham, the world's highest-paid marketing man.
1994 Certified NLP Master Practitioner by Marvin Oka.
1994 Certified Master Behavioural Modeler by Professor Wyatt Woodsmall.
Trained in Systems by Michael Gerber (author E-Myth).
